Today was the day I have been waiting for…We (12 of us) painted and sewed all day in the Children’s Home. The electricity kept going in and out, so the fans were intermittent. It didn’t matter about the sewing machine because it is a treadle! What an experience that has been. I am learning a whole new thing with this treadle!
Tonight we prepared for tomorrow. We will finish the Children’s Home and then allow the children to see their rooms! Just like on Extreme Makeover Home Edition! Can’t wait!

Today was an incredible day for our team in India! A Women’s Conference was held for about 150 women from one of the slums in New Delhi. At the same time, a children’s service was held. The paint team (of which I am a part) painted a mural on the back wall of a church. Now I say “we” painted. What I mean is I held the paint and the artist created. I am posting a picture of the completed work of art. Pastor Koshy Baby was so impressed that he would like us to paint four more tomorrow! We will see what we can do!
I am also including a picture of Rekah. She is the 12 year old young lady whom I am sponsoring. She is SO pretty! I presented her with some gifts. With each gift, she would smile and say, “Beautiful!”
Tomorrow we (the Paint Team) will be going to Sangum Vihar. It is the largest slum in Asia. It is not the best place for us to go right now, but it is a needed ministry. I will explain it all when I get home…
Continue to pray for us!

I have been in India for 26 hours. It is better than I remember! It is hot, but it is an incredible mission field. Last year when we were here, it was one great big adventure. Since then, so much has transpired in my life, and in the world situation – especially in India.
Today in a conversation that we had with a pastor, he shared with us that many Christians are being persecuted. Their homes are being destroyed and pastors have been murdered. We are not able to go to all the places that we had planned to minister. Just one year ago we walked freely through the slums. Now it is very dangerous.
Please pray for us. We are not frightened. We are cautious. I will be posting more later.
